SAKIEL – THE FALLEN ANGEL

OVERVIEW

Sakiel is a special 2-phase fight – one where you need to take down both of his forms in order to succeed. So once you’ve taken him down in his starting form, don’t think the fight is over. It’s only just beginning.

If you want to triumph over the Fallen Angel, you’ll need to ensure your team has both high Resistance and Accuracy across your whole team

You'll need high RES to resist his debuffs, stop Sakiel from stealing your debuffs, and to stop him stealing back any buffs you manage to take from him. Considering Sakiel has some powerful, almost omnipresent buffs, stealing them is a very good idea.

You’ll also need to pump up your ACC – it's paramount to everything you want to do in this fight. If you wish to block Sakiel’s buffs with debuffs like Jinx, or to steal them from him, you need Accuracy. He's basically a source of infinite free buffs, if you're able to take advantage.

If there is one debuff you want to bring to this fight, it’s Mindworm. This will negate Sakiel from gaining some of his most powerful buffs in both of his forms – so he can’t wipe you out in the blink of an eye. Ensure you have enough Accuracy to place Mindworm, as well as ways to extend its duration.

Positioning is key to this fight as well. Sakiel has certain Skills that require you to position yourself in specific zones of the arena to avoid powerful attacks. He also has one particular attack that sees him charging at your team. Trust us when we say – avoid this attack at all costs. It could be the difference between victory and defeat.

DO

Invest in RES and ACC

Use Mindworm. It’s vital for limiting Sakiel gaining power

Have an Invoker will 100% Heal Reduction. It will be useful against Sakiel’s Demon Form

Bring Invokers and Relics with Manashock and Bloodrot Tolerances

DON'T

Neglect ACC. If you want to steal Sakiel’s buffs, you have to conquer his RES

Stay still

Rely on Bleed and Burn debuffs – Sakiel takes 50% less damage from them, and they lower his Skill cooldowns

SAKIEL – SKILL BREAKDOWN

Dark Chance [Passive]

Passive Effect

Decreases the cooldown of a random Active Skill on Sakiel by 1-3s every time a [Burn] or [Bleed] debuff ticks on Sakiel.

The cooldown reduction differs by Stage:

  • Stages 1-7: 1s
  • Stages 8-13: 2s
  • Stages 14+: 3s

Sakiel takes 50% less damage from [Burn] and [Bleed] debuffs.

The Passive Effect will not be affected by [Mindworm] debuffs.

Active Effect

Grants Sakiel 3 of the following buffs, at random, each lasting 20s:

  • [20% ATK Up]
  • [20% Crit Rate Up]
  • [20% Crit DMG Up]
  • [20% Skill Recov Up]
  • [20% Combo SPD Up]

This Skill's cooldown will be frozen while Sakiel is under a [Mindworm] debuff.

  • TIP #1: These buffs last 20 whole seconds – so you can effectively consider them as a set of permanent buffs for Sakiel.

  • TIP#2: You can get creative in how you can stop Sakiel using these buffs. You can:

    • Block them. By placing a Jinx debuff on Sakiel

    • Steal them. If you have enough Accuracy and an Invoker that can take them. If you have an Invoker that can steal all of the target's buffs, this is a viable late-game strategy.

    • Unleash the Mindworm. Hit Sakiel with a Mindworm debuff to block this Passive Skill for a short period – though he’ll be able to reapply the buffs once Mindworm wears off.

  • TIP#3: Don’t rely on Bleed and Burn as your main damage source. Sakiel takes less damage from them and they make his Skills come online faster.

Combo Attack #1

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage. Casts a [20% DEF Down] debuff on the target, lasting 15s.

Casts 1 stack of Bloodrot Corruption on each target. The Bloodrot Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Bloodrot Corruption decreases the size of all heals the target receives by 1%.

Combo Attack #2

Attacks all enemies in a 180°, 7m area in front of Sakiel, dealing N damage per hit. Casts a [5% Combo SPD Down] debuff on the targets, lasting 15s.

  • TIP #1: You can dodge this attack – stay on your toes!

Combo Attack #3

Attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. The targets lose 5% Ultimate Mana.

Skill 1 – Lost Sword

Attacks 1 enemy 3 times, dealing N damage per hit. The first hit casts a [20% RES Down] debuff on the target, lasting 15s. The second hit casts a [20% ACC Down] debuff on the target, lasting 15s. The third hit casts a [5% Skill Recov Down] debuff on the target, lasting 15s.

Removes 2 random debuffs from Sakiel.

  • TIP #1: You need high RES. This is a painful set of debuffs to take, and landing them will aid Sakiel snowballing in power, so resist them!

Skill 2 – Demon Vein

Divides the arena into 3 sections. After 5 seconds, a 15x45m Demon Vein bursts in 1 random section.

The Demon Vein deals N damage to all enemies hit. Casts 1 stack of Bloodrot Corruption on the targets. The Bloodrot Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Bloodrot Corruption decreases the the size of all heals the target receives by 1%.

  • TIP #1: Dodge this one as well. You’ve got 5 seconds to move – keep an eye on which section is about to erupt.

Skill 3 – Stolen Wings

Charges through a 6x15m path towards the enemy with the highest current HP percentage in a 15m radius, damaging each enemy hit, dealing N damage. Steals 1 random buff from each target. Extends the durations of each stolen debuff by 15s.

Casts Manashock Corruption on the targets, lasting 8s. Manashock Corruption instantly decreases the target's Ultimate Mana by 5%.

  • TIP #1: Everyone in your team needs RES here. If even one gets touched, that’s one debuff going to Sakiel and getting its duration extended by 15s. If he hits your whole team, that’s 5 debuffs he’s stealing and getting extended by 15s. Not “set to 15s”, but extended by 15s.

    • While this might not sound terrible for a Shield buff based on your own Invoker's Stats, it is far more dangerous with buffs that are based on the recipient's Stats – because that recipient is Sakiel. And his stats are crazy.

    • Imagine him stealing a Regen buff, which will then heal Sakiel based on his massive HP. For at least 15 seconds, probably more. Yikes.

  • TIP #2: Dodge. Who needs RES if you can just dodge this Skill entirely? If you see Sakiel charging towards you, spread your Invokers out. Do still bring RES though, as you can’t always guarantee you’ll dodge out of the way.

  • TIP #3: You can manipulate who this Skill targets to your advantage. Your Supports will probably have the highest HP%, so they will probably be the target of this Skill. As such, bring a Tank with high HP and keep them healed up to full where you can. This means Sakiel will prioritize slamming into them (and probably will also not travel very far at all).

  • TIP #4: This skill can absolutely ruin you.

Skill 4 – Fallen Blades

Sakiel channels for 5s, then attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit.

  • TIP #1: Shields and Increase DEF buffs are your friend here. You can’t dodge this attack, so you just need to weather the storm.
  • TIP #2: You’ve got 5 seconds until Sakiel lets these blades fly – so that’s 5 whole uninterrupted seconds to pile on the pain!

Phase 2

DEMON SAKIEL – SKILL BREAKDOWN

When Sakiel enters his Demon form, he fully regains his HP and refreshes the cooldowns of all of his Skills.

Dark Promise [Passive]

Passive Effect

Decreases the cooldown of a random Active Skill on Sakiel by 1-3s every time a [Burn] or [Bleed] debuff ticks on Sakiel.

The cooldown reduction differs by Stage:

  • Stages 1-7: 1s
  • Stages 8-13: 2s
  • Stages 14+: 3s

Sakiel takes 50% less damage from [Burn] and [Bleed] debuffs.

The Passive Effect will not be affected by [Mindworm] debuffs.

Active Effect

Grants Sakiel all of the following buffs, each lasting 20s:

  • [20% ATK Up]
  • [20% Crit Rate Up]
  • [20% Crit DMG Up]
  • [20% Skill Recov Up]
  • [20% Combo SPD Up]

This Skill's cooldown will be frozen while Sakiel is under a [Mindworm] debuff.

  • TIP #1: This is a direct upgrade from normal Sakiel’s Passive. He now gets all 5 buffs at once every 20 seconds, rather than just three. Same rules apply – block them, steal them or use Mindworm.

Combo Attack #1

Attacks 1 enemy 2 times, dealing N damage per hit. The first hit casts a [10% DEF Down] debuff on the target, lasting 15s.

The first hit casts 1 stack of Bloodrot Corruption on each target. The Bloodrot Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Bloodrot Corruption decreases the size of all heals the target receives by 1%.

The second hit casts a [5% Skill Recov Down] debuff on the target, lasting 15s.

Combo Attack #2

Attacks all enemies in a 180°, 7m area in front of Sakiel, dealing N damage per hit. Casts a [5% Combo SPD Down] debuff on the targets, lasting 15s.

  • TIP #1: Just like with normal Sakiel, you can dodge this move completely.

Combo Attack #3

Attacks all enemies in the arena 2 times, dealing N damage per hit. Each target loses 5% Ultimate Mana and 50 Titan Mana.

  • This is also a direct upgrade compared to first-phase Sakiel's attack. Now, it hits twice and causes you to lose Titan Mana in addition to Ultimate Mana. That will affect your whole team, and can significantly delay your Titans. Again, RES will help.

Skill 1 – Black Reach

Attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. Casts a [20% ATK Down] debuff on the targets, lasting 15s. Casts a [10% Crit Rate Down] debuff on the targets, lasting 15s.

Casts 1 stack of Bloodrot Corruption on the targets. The Bloodrot Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 3% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Bloodrot Corruption decreases the the size of all heals the target receives by 1%.

Removes 2 random debuffs from Sakiel.

  • TIP #1: This is a straight upgrade from his previous form. As he’ll now hit everyone in the arena, you’ll need RES to avoid the ATK Down and Crit Rate Down debuffs. With them lasting a whopping 15 seconds, you want to resist these at all costs.

  • TIP #2: The debuffs Sakiel apply change between forms. Rather than applying RES Down, ACC Down and Skill Recov Down, Black Reach focuses on lowering your ATK and Crit Rate, and sapping your ability to heal with Bloodrot.

Skill 2 – Twisted Demon Vein

Divides the arena into 3 sections. After 5 seconds, a 15x45m Demon Vein bursts in 2 random sections.

Each Demon Vein deals N damage to all enemies hit.

  • TIP #1: This is pretty much the same as his standard Demon Vein – only now, two Veins bursts instead of 1. Stay on your toes!

Skill 3 – Cursed Wings

Charges through a 6x15m path towards the enemy with the highest current HP percentage in a 15m radius, damaging each enemy hit, dealing N damage. Steals 1 random buff from each target. Extends the durations of each stolen debuff by 15s.

Casts Manashock Corruption on the targets, lasting 8s. Manashock Corruption instantly decreases the target's Ultimate Mana by 5%.

Then, Sakiel channels for 4s, healing by 2.5% MAX HP every 1s.

  • TIP #1: This is exactly the same as when Sakiel’s not in his Demon form, only there’s an added channel heal at the end. If you have a Heal Reduction debuff you can place on him during the channel, you essentially get 4 interrupted seconds to hit him hard.

Skill 4 – Fallen Blades

Sakiel channels for 5s, then attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit.

  • TIP #1: This Skill remains unchanged from his normal form.

STATS TABLE

CORRUPTIONS

Sakiel has two Corruptions: one Damage Corruption (Bloodrot), and one Control Corruption (Manashock).

Each of Sakiel’s attacks will deal extra damage as Bloodrot Damage, which is not decreased by your Invokers’ DEF Stat.

CONTROL CORRUPTION – MANASHOCK

Manashock Corruption

  • Stuns the target, making them unable to move or use Skills. Decreases all Ultimate and Titan Mana gained by 50%.

Manashock Tolerance

Manashock Corruption stuns the target, while also decreasing the amount of Ultimate and Titan Mana the target gains from any source.

This can massively decrease the effectiveness of a Support Invoker whose job it is to generate Mana for their team, as even if they have high Manashock Tolerance themselves, their power is greatly decreased if their teammates only receive 50% of the Mana they generate.

Increasing an Invoker's Manashock Tolerance decreases the duration of Manashock and its effects by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, reducing the duration of the stun and decreasing the Mana gain penalty.

DAMAGE CORRUPTION – BLOODROT

Bloodrot Corruption

  • Each stack of Bloodrot damages the target by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. Each stack also decreases the size of all heals the target receives. Infinite duration.

Bloodrot Tolerance

Bloodrot Corruption is a damage-over-time effect that damages the recipient by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. It also decreases the size of all heals the target receives by a certain percentage. Bloodrot Corruption has an infinite duration and cannot be removed. Bloodrot Corruption stacks additively, so each stack of Bloodrot directly increases the damage per tick along with the Heal Size reduction.

Bosses with Bloodrot Corruption also deal direct Bloodrot damage from their Skills, in addition to their regular damage. Direct Bloodrot damage ignores the target's DEF stat, and can only be decreased by the target's Bloodrot Tolerance.

Increasing an Invoker's Bloodrot Tolerance will decrease all Bloodrot damage by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, along with decreasing the effects of the Heal Size reduction.

STRATEGY

With two forms to deal with, the fight with Sakiel is one of the most gruelling in the game. However, while Sakiel may look daunting, you have a lot of freedom in how you take this fallen angel on.

The main crux of the fight is all about managing the buffs he places on himself, stopping the debuffs he places on you, and preventing him from stealing your precious buffs. As you can imagine, Accuracy and Resistance are paramount to your success.

Build enough RES so you can resist his debuffs and attempts to steal your buffs, and stack up your ACC so you can steal or even block the buffs he places on himself.

Remember that this is a two-stage fight. Once you take Sakiel down in his angelic form, he’ll rise with a vengeance – unleashing Demon Sakiel. This fully revives him and augments all of his Skills with powerful new abilities. You will have to defeat both in order to triumph, so make sure your Invoker team can handle both forms effectively.

The Accuracy and Resistance battle begins with Sakiel’s Passive – Dark Chance. In his starting form, this gives him the chance of applying 3 of 5 powerful offensive buffs, which last for 20 seconds. He will consistently refresh or reapply these buffs every 20 seconds, so it’s better to consider them as permanent stat boosts. How you deal with them is up to you – you can block them using a Jinx debuff, steal them from him or use Mindworm to freeze the buff reapplication – but you will need to deal with them somehow.

When Sakiel enters his Demon form, Dark Chance transforms into Dark Promise, with him applying all 5 offensive buffs every 20 seconds. While you could hope he hits some of the less threatening buffs when in his base form, Dark Promise is a humongous threat that needs an answer

In both forms, Sakiel’s first Skill is focused on applying debilitating debuffs to your team. In his base form, Lost Sword only focuses on one enemy – placing three debuffs meant to reduce your ACC, RES, and Skill Recovery. Here, you can have your tank bear the brunt of this assault. So long as they have decent RES, you’ll be okay.

When in Demon form, Lost Sword transforms into Black Reach – a Skill which hits all enemies in the arena. There’s also a change to the debuffs Sakiel applies. Now, he focuses on reducing your damage output, swapping out ACC Down, RES Down, and Skill Recovery Down for ATK Down, Crit Rate Down and 1 stack of Bloodrot Corruption. Bloodrot is the real sting in the tail here, as it slowly reduces your ability to heal, which is terrible when Sakiel hits like a frieght train.

As you cannot avoid this Skill when Sakiel’s a demon, stacking up your RES and Bloodrot Tolerance is crucial.

Between his starting and Demon Form, Sakiel’s 2nd skill doesn’t change all that much. When he starts the battle, this Skill is called Demon Vein. It divides the arena into 3 separate sections, with a Demon Vein spawning in one of those sections. You just need to keep an eye on which section has the Demon Vein, and make sure you’re not standing in it when it erupts!

When Sakiel enters his Demon Form, not much changes. This Skill turns into Twisted Demon Vein, with it spawning 2 Demon Veins instead of 1. Same strategy applies – move to the single safe area to not get caught in the explosion.

Skill 3 is the most punishing of Sakiel’s Skills, as it can be where his power turns on a dime. In his starting form, Stolen Wings will see Sakiel charge towards the Invoker with the current highest HP%. If anyone gets hit by Sakiel during this charge, he will steal one random debuff from them and increase its duration on him by 15 seconds. If your whole party is grouped up, he could steal 5 buffs that are now at least 15 seconds long. Get your Resistance high to stop the steal!

When he’s a Demon, Stolen Wings become Cursed Wings, with the only change being that Sakiel will begin channeling a heal at the end of the charge for 4 seconds. This, in some ways, can be used to your advantage. If you manage to slap a 100% Heal Reduction debuff on him, that means you get a guaranteed 4 seconds to beat the living daylights out of Sakiel – without him recovering any health! You’ve still got to watch out for his buff steal, so wait until he’s come to a complete stop before launching your counterattack.

Finally, there’s Skill 4 – Fallen Blades – the only Skill that doesn’t change between Sakiel’s forms. Here, Sakiel channels a powerful attack for 5 seconds. Like with Black Reach, this Skill hits everyone in the arena and does massive damage. There is basically no way around it – you just need to tank the hits and keep fighting.

So in short – have a plan to deal with Sakiel’s buffs, resist his buff steal by any means necessary, overcome his RES by pumping up your Accuracy and for the love for all that’s holy, have a Stun debuff ready to go when Sakiel’s channeling Fallen Blades.

We’re rooting for you!
