0.58 comes with two heavily requested features – Background Battles and in-game chat! Along with these new features, we’ve added 6 new Invokers, 6 new Titans, made some changes to the Pentiax fight, added support for several new languages and more.
BACKGROUND BATTLES

We’re now adding the ability to run Multi-Battles in the background, while you’re upgrading your Invokers, swapping out Relics and so on. Background Battles unlock at Player Level 25, and you’ll be able to initiate them in the same screen you can activate Multi-Battles.
Background Battles are available for the Campaign, Spires and Bosses, and you still have to have the game open in order for Background Battles to run. You will see an indicator on the home screen showing how your Background Battles are progressing, and alerts will pop up to let you know when they are finished or have been stopped.

We’re hoping to expand this feature further, so let us know what you think of the current implementation!
CHAT

Want to chat with your fellow Invokers players in game? Well, now you can with our in-game chat feature! Unlocking at Player Level 2 right after the tutorial, you’ll be able to directly communicate with players via the home screen, using one of several chat channels.
Channels are organized by language, so you’ll be able to talk to players in your language of choice. You’ll also get notifications when other players summon Legendary Invokers or Titans, fuse Invokers, upgrade Relics to Level 20, and more.
IN-GAME ALERT IMPROVEMENTS
We’ve added three new types of In-Game Alerts:
Time Rewards – reminders that you’ve got Playtime Rewards to claim
Spires – reminders to keep progressing in the Spires
Arena Offense – reminders to jump into the Arena
In-Game Alerts will now also not appear when you’re in the Quest screen.
INVOKER RATING CHANGES
You now only need to get Common and Uncommon Invokers to Level 40 to rate them.

We’ve also added a Rating button in the Invoker Index and the Summon screen.
FILTER AND TAG IMPROVEMENTS
We’ve made some visual changes to the Invoker and Titan Filters, making it easier for you to see all your currently active Filters at a single glance.
The Tag system has also received a rework, so filtering your Invokers or Titans by Tag should return better results.
We've also improved the performance of the Relic Filter, especially for players who have huge Relic stashes.
PAUSE MENU IMPROVEMENTS
We’ve made some improvements to the Pause Menu – mainly to show stats that were previously missing.
The Launch debuff is now shown on the Pause Menu, complete with its description
The last tick value for Bleed, Burn, and Regeneration will now be displayed on the Buffs & Debuffs tab – useful for tracking your damage and heal output
When Sakiel changes between his Archangel and Demon forms, his stats, damage values and status effects will correctly update
Fixed an issue where the Flame Shard counter for Yskara was not correctly displayed
BATTLE RESULTS SCREEN REDESIGN
We’ve simplified the Battle Results screen – primarily for new players. There’s now a more prominent Home button, we’ve removed the Stats button, and added a more streamlined stats display.
The Replay button will now always appear when you view the Battle Results screen following a loss or when you leave a battle early. Different difficulty modes will now also be shown in different colors.
GUARANTEE SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS
We’ve changed the Guarantee System, specifically for Radiant, Destiny, and Fate Stars, so you have more guarantees of at least Epic Invokers.
Radiant – once you’ve hit the limit of a guaranteed Light or Dark Epic Invoker after summoning from 15 Radiant Stars 3 times, you’ll now swap to an unlimited Guarantee system where you’ll get a guaranteed Epic every 30 Radiant Stars.
We’ve also increased the storage cap for Radiant Stars to 20.
Destiny and Fate – these now share the same unlimited 30 Star Guarantee system, with the counter resetting after you summon an Epic from either a Fate or Destiny Star.
DAILY LOGIN PROGRAM REWARDS EXTENSION
As more and more of you are hitting the Day 180 milestone, we’ve added three more Invoker milestones and rewards for you to get!
Day 210 – Nightguard Aleksu (Epic, Nocturna, Fire, Ranged Attacker)
Day 240 – Almea (Epic, Eldrin, Water, Melee Attacker)
Day 270 – Elder King Thalbrennar (Legendary, Stonehearts, Wind, Melee Attacker)
PROGRESS QUESTS UPDATES
To make the early game that little bit smoother, we’ve simplified and updated the Progress Quest conditions on Pages 2-41. Some Quest rewards have also been updated.
PENTIAX CHANGES
Pentiax was the next boss on our rebalance hitlist, as many players were experiencing issues when he would fly out of the Arena during his Skill 4, Fall of the Void. As such, we’ve removed the Skill from his kit and replaced it with a new one, Roar of the Eternal:
Pentiax hovers above the ground, unleashing roaring flame on nearby enemies and calling Elementals to his cause.
Pentiax breathes fire, attacking all enemies in a 30m radius, dealing N damage.
Pentiax summons 5 Fire Elementals.
As a result, those pesky Magma Slimes will no longer spawn during the battle, drawing your Invokers’ attention away from Pentiax. Fire Elementals will still spawn when Pentiax casts Roar of the Eternal or his Skill 3, Melody of Darkstone though.
Let us know how these changes affect your clear times for Pentiax!
NEW LANGUAGES
As we hinted at in our Dev Digest, we’ve now added language support for German, French, Italian, Turkish, and Brazilian Portuguese! We’re still actively working on and improving these localizations, so please let us know if you notice any issues when playing in those languages.
We’ve also made some improvements to our pre-existing Ukrainian and Spanish language support too!
BATTLE
Chain fixes: Chained Invokers will still attack targets if they are in range of their attacks or Skills. If they aren’t, they simply won’t attack
Control Debuff Skill Queue: Players can now queue up Skills to use once a control debuff wears off
Player Input Override: Tapping a Skill while in Auto Mode will now result in the AI using the Skill immediately, rather than moving to a position and then using the Skill.
Improved Healer Positioning: Healers will now put themselves in the best position, based on the current ally count. They’ll also find the best position while on a moving platform now. Elevators can be confusing, after all
Enemy Flinch: We’ve now added the enemy flinch effect to enemies in Chapters 3 to 9 of the Campaign
Willpower Change: Willpower buffs will now block movement effects like Push and Pull
Fixed an issue where Invokers under a Control debuff could heal during a teleport, causing heal visuals to appear in the wrong location
Fixed a visual issue where Invokers would still appear frozen after a Freeze debuffs wears off
Fixed an issue where logging in with a Google account could retain Battle replays from the previous account
Fixed an issue where Invoker Skills would lock onto the wrong enemy target
ARENA
We’ve added Diminishing Durations of Crowd Control debuffs. This decreases the duration of Crowd Control debuffs received in quick succession to further prevent Chain-CC scenarios.
It works as follows:
Diminishing Durations Window: Whenever someone receives a Crowd Control debuff, a 10-second timer starts: the Diminishing Durations Window.
Subsequent CC debuffs placed within this 10-second window will have Diminished Durations:
1st CC debuff: 100% Duration
2nd CC debuff: 50% Duration
3rd CC debuff: 25% Duration
4th CC debuff: 10% Duration
5th+: 0% Duration. The target is effectively immune to all subsequent chained CC debuffs.
CC Immunity Trigger: If the target receives 4 CC debuffs within a 10-second window, they will become immune to CC debuffs for 7 seconds after the last active CC debuff expires.
Active CC debuffs will not be removed — the immunity will begin after the last active CC debuff on the target expires.
The 10-second Diminishing Durations window is a moving timer, and each new CC debuff shifts that 10-second timer: after each new CC debuff received, there’s a 10-second window where all chained CC debuffs received will have Diminished Durations — and potentially trigger CC Immunity if 4 CC debuffs are received within that window.
This applies to all hard Crowd Control debuffs, across the board – Stun, Freeze, Chain, Launch, Taunt, and so on.
With each subsequent instance of CC debuffs receiving decreased duration, players should no longer be able to stunlock teams into oblivion.
Arena Rating Loss Fix: Fixed an issue where players would occasionally receive 1 point when losing Arena Offense Battles
Matchmaking Improvements: Narrowed the matchmaking range which should bring back more balanced, competitive matchups for both Arena Offense and Defense
Also fixed an issue where players at the top of Gold IV would be matched up against Bronze League opponents in their opponents’ list.
Fixed an issue where enemy Invokers would appear as alive or show incorrect stats on the Battle Results screen.
Arena Buff/Debuff Duration Modifier: We now have the ability to make bespoke changes to buff and debuff lengths specifically for Arena Battles. The system is incredibly granular – allowing us to make modifications to specific buffs and debuffs applied by specific sets of Invoker or Titan Skills.
We’ve implemented this to try and avoid perma-stuns in Arena, when also combined with the above changes to repeated Control Debuff applications. It’s been working well when we’ve tested internally – but please test and give us feedback! We’re open to tweaking both the duration modifiers and the break points for the Control Debuff diminishing returns.
Any modifiers will only apply for Arena Battles, so your PvE strategies won’t be affected. We hope to add a “Show Arena Modifier” toggle to Invoker and Titan Skill description in a future release, so you can see exactly how these modifiers will work in Arena.
Not only will this allow for finely-tuned and rapid balance changes, but it will allow us to implement fun/wackier modifiers in the future for special events - if we want!
The current list of modifiers is as follows:
INVOKER SKILL DEBUFF DURATION MODIFIERS
TITAN SKILL DEBUFF DURATION MODIFIERS
For both the Crowd Control Debuff Diminishing Durations and the Debuff Duration modifiers, we’ve added tables in-game within the Arena help tooltips that explain how these features work.
CAMPAIGN & SPIRES
Shortened Normal Campaign Stages: We’ve rebalanced all Normal Campaign Stages in Chapters 4 and 5, resulting in a shorter and more dynamic experience
Shortened Hard and Insane Campaign Stages: We’ve also rolled out similar changes for Chapters 1 to 5 of Hard and Insane Campaign as well, which should make running Campaign Stages that bit faster
Improved Spire Rewards: We’ve increased the number of Rare and Epic Codexes you earn from the Spires, along with Rare Prisms and Radiant Stars.
In the Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water Spires, you can now earn a total of 28 Rare and 28 Epic Codexes, up from 24 and 12 respectively.
In the Light and Dark Spires, you can now earn 2 Radiant Stars, along with 12 Rare Prisms and 20 Rare Codexes.
- Campaign Star Reward Rebalance: We've rebalanced the number of Destiny Stars you can earn as Campaign Star Rewards.
- In Normal Campaign, you now earn 1 Destiny Star for getting 100 and 200 Campaign Stars (was previously 3).
- In Hard Campaign, you now earn 1 Destiny Star for getting 1, 15, and 100 Campaign Stars (was previously 3).
- In Insane Campaign, you now earn 1 Destiny Star for getting 1 and 15 Campaign Stars (was previously 5). For getting 100 and 200 Campaign Stars, you now earn 3 Destiny Stars (was previously 5).
INVOKER REBALANCES
Our fearsome Admiral Gladstone wasn’t as ship-shape as we’d like him to be, so we’ve made some rebalances to make him a true terror of the seas!
We increased the Defense scaling on Gladstone’s Skill 1, The Admiral’s Blade
We’ve removed the critical hit requirement for his Skill 2, Howl of the Deep, in order to land the Weaken Debuff. This Skill now also places Mindworm
We’ve changed the shield scaling on his Skill 3, Hand of Greed. It now scales based off Gladstone’s MAX HP, rather than the damage dealt by this Skill
For his Ultimate Skill, The Master’s Command, we’ve increased the values of all the debuffs placed by this Skill
Charvaine’s Ultimate Skill, Conjure Dreams, has received an adjustment – the buffs she applies with this Ultimate are now based on her stats when she enters the Battle, rather than when she casts this Skill.
Bosko’s Combo Attacks now only attack 1 enemy, rather than multiple enemies.
TITAN REBALANCES
For Titans, we’ve now unified the timings of when their Invokation Effects activate across Rarities. High Rarity Titans will apply their Invokation Effects faster, so you can really make a battle turn on a dime! Here are the new timings:
Rare Titans – Invokation Effects hit 1.2 seconds after Invoking
Epic Titans – Invokation Effects hit 1.1 seconds after Invoking
Legendary Titans – Invokation Effects hit 1 second after Invoking
Mythical Titans – Invokation Effects hit 0.9 seconds after Invoking
We’ve also made a change to the Skill descriptions of all Titans. Previously, certain Invokation End descriptions stated that effects would be applied to the Titan (that has just disappeared), rather than the Invoker they are Bound to.
This has been corrected, so any Invokation End effects that previously mentioned the Titan by name now correctly state that they apply to the Bound Invoker.
We also fixed an issue with Carnai’s Invokation Effect – at Level 3, it now stuns for 2.5 seconds, instead of 4.25 seconds.
MISCELLANOUS
Updated the icon for random Relic drops
Updated the buff and debuff icons for Increase Skill SPD, Decrease Skill SPD, and Weaken for better visual clarity
Redesigned the icons for specific game modes for better visual clarity
As befitting a Mythical Titan, Terravun finally has their intro video!
When levelling up Titans, XP Potions will always appear on the Level Up screen, and show you the correct number of Titan Sparks needed to use those XP Potions
We’ve added a new range of items to the in-game Shop called Calendars. Purchasing one of these Calendars will provide you with guaranteed resources every day for a specific number of days.
