Omnissi (LIGHT) – The Elemental Garuda

OVERVIEW

While Omnissi shares some skills across each Element, there are also unique mechanics to overcome to master each version.

Light Omnissi is the simplest version of all the Garudas, but that doesn't mean she's the easiest.

She has a single aspect that makes her incredibly hard to beat – her passive that turns your own heals against you. Whenever a member of your team is healed, Light Omnissi's Passive will destroy a portion of that Invoker's MAX HP, equal to 50% of the heal — permanently reducing their MAX HP for the duration of the battle.

In most Boss battles, survivability through continuous healing helps even the score and turn the fights into a war of attrition – but against Light Omnissi, this isn't really possible. You'll get slowly weakened down over time due to her dangerous Passive and the battle will be over before you know it.

If you need more survivability, you'll need to find it via damage-reducing buffs (such as Invincibility or Strengthen), or through debuffs that decrease Omnissi's damage output (such as ATK Down). Other than that, you'll want to make the battle as short as possible so you don't need to heal: offensive is the best form of defense in this one.

DO

Focus on attacking output and high DPS, not healing.

Try to block damage in the first place, rather than recovering through heals.

DON'T

Rely on heals. You're going to fail.

Take it slow.

Rely on Damage Dealers with Vampire Relics.

SKILL BREAKDOWN

Each version of Omnissi shares most of their Skills, but they do have a few key differences and unique skills.

Each version of Omnissi has:

  • A unique Combo Attack #1

  • A unique Skill 1

  • A unique Passive Skill

These are the main differences that you need to know to help build your team to counter each version – the rest of the Skills are identical across every Element, aside from the Corruptions, which change for each one.

For Light Omnissi, most of her uniqueness comes from her Passive alone.

 Life Refraction [Passive]

Whenever an enemy is healed, destroys their MAX HP by 50% of the amount healed. Cannot destroy an enemy's MAX HP to less than 1HP.

  • TIP #1: This is Light Omnissi's major defining characteristic, and makes her play completely differently to all other bosses in the game. Whenever one of your Invokers gains HP, their MAX HP will be destroyed by 50% of the amount they heal.

That means if they heal by 1,000 HP, they're also losing 500 MAX HP at the same time. Over the course of a battle, your Invokers’ MAX HP will drop to almost nothing.

  • TIP #2: This includes all forms of health gain – including direct heals, Regeneration buffs, or healing from Vampire Relics. No matter how you gain HP, Light Omnissi's going to punnish you for it.

  • TIP #3: There's no way to disable this Skill – the best approach is to avoid it. Unlike most Boss fights, where you look to grind the Boss down over time (and bring healers to keep you alive), that approach doesn't work here; the best approach is bringing as much DPS as possible and taking down Omnissi as quickly as you can.

Combo Attack #1

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage.

Skill 1 – Twisted Prism

Targets 3 random enemies in a 30m radius, tracking them for 1.9s. Then, creates a 4m radius AoE zone around the targets, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area.

Each hit casts 1 stack of Blight Corruption on each target. The Blight Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Blight Corruption decreases the target's Skill Recovery by 3%.

  • TIP #1: This attack is unavoidable for at least 3 of your team – but it's also going to hurt everyone else in the area. You can spread out to reduce damage, but you'll need to ensure you have a good amount of Blight Tolerance to minimize the damage.

Combo Attack #2

Attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit.

Combo Attack #3

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage.

 Combo Attack #4

Attacks all enemies in a 5m radius, dealing N damage per hit.

Skill 2 – Fractured Spectrum

Divides the arena into 3 zones, then creates Light Waves that fill the zones one by one, in random order.

Each Wave takes 2.9s to charge, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area.

Each hit casts Paralysis Corruption on each target, lasting 15s. Paralysis Corruption instantly puts one of the target's Skills on a 30s Cooldown, at random, after the Paralysis expires.

Each hit casts 1 stack of Blight Corruption on each target. The Blight Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Blight Corruption decreases the target's Skill Recovery by 3%.

  • TIP #1: Move. This Skill is scary, but thankfully you are able to avoid it and get out of the way. If you get hit, not only do you take insane damage, but you also end up on the wrong end of a long-lasting stun from Paralysis Corruption.

  • TIP #2: Use the Group Up button to huddle your team together and ensure they get out of the way. Relying on your team's Instinct here is never going to be as reliable as doing it yourself.

Skill 3 – Glimmerflash

Dives through an 8x20m path, towards the furthest enemy in a 15m radius, damaging each enemy hit, dealing N damage per hit. Launches each target in the air for Ns, launching them Nm away.

  • TIP #1: Once again, get out of the way. This is a long-lasting launch that pushes you backwards, along with some serious damage. The saving grace is that you can actually avoid it entirely – if you're on your toes.

Skill 4 – Beams of Radiance

Casts a [Shield] buff on Omnissi, equal to 30% of her MAX HP, lasting 10s.

Then, Omnissi channels. While channeling, continuously hails Light Beams, attacking all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. Light Beams will fall on each enemy 3 times every 2s.

Channeling will be interrupted when Omnissi loses 10% of her MAX HP.

  • TIP #1: Unleash everything you have to stop the Skill as soon as possible. Here, Omnissi will continue to channel until one of two things happens: either your whole team dies, or you manage to deal enough damage to her. This is a pretty hard damage-check for your team – if you don't have enough DPS to shut this down quickly, you're done.

CORRUPTIONS

The Light version of Omnissi has two Corruptions: one Damage Corruption (Blight), and one Control Corruption (Paralysis).

Each of Dark Omnissi's attacks will deal extra damage as Manaburn Damage, which is not decreased by your Invokers’ DEF Stat.

DAMAGE CORRUPTION –  BLIGHT

Blight Corruption

  • Each stack of Blight damages the target by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. Each stack also decreases the target's Skill Recovery. Infinite duration.

Blight Tolerance

Blight Corruption is a damage-over-time effect that damages the recipient by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. It also decreases the target's Skill Recovery by a certain percentage. Blight Corruption has an infinite duration and cannot be removed. Blight Corruption stacks additively, so each stack of Blight directly increases the damage per tick along with the the Skill Recovery reduction.

Bosses with Blight Corruption also deal direct Blight damage from their Skills, in addition to their regular damage. Direct Blight damage ignores the target's DEF stat, and can only be decreased by the target's Blight Tolerance.

Increasing an Invoker's Blight Tolerance will decrease all Blight damage by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, along with decreasing the effects of the Skill Recovery reduction.

CONTROL CORRUPTION – PARALYSIS

Paralysis Corruption

  • Stuns the target, making them unable to move or use Skills. Puts one of the target's Skills on a 30s Cooldown, at random, after the Paralysis Corruption expires.

Paralysis Tolerance

Paralysis Corruption stuns the target for its duration. Then, when it expires, it puts a random Skill of the target's on a 30-second cooldown.

Paralysis can throw your plans out of the window. You can often recover from a long stun, or other crowd-control debuff, by immediately using a powerful heal after the debuff expires. But Paralysis can stop that plan in its tracks if it puts the skill you were waiting to use on a huge 30-second cooldown.

Increasing an Invoker's Paralysis Tolerance will decrease the duration of the Paralysis' stun by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage. And at 100% Paralysis Tolerance, the cooldown increase will also be blocked.
