Omnissi (FIRE) – The Elemental Garuda

OVERVIEW

While Omnissi shares some skills across each Element, there are also unique mechanics to overcome to master each version.

The Fire version of Omnissi centers around casting and extending deadly Burn debuffs, with 2 Corruptions that amplify the challenge.

Her Combo Attack casts a Burn debuff on a single target, but she has another deadly attack that casts a long-lasting Burn debuff on everyone in the arena. Her first skill, Ignic Hail, then extends those debuffs by 5 seconds.

Since Burn is a source of MAX HP damage, and so is the damage from the Manaburn Corruption, trying to out-heal that damage is a bad idea. If you don’t deal with the Burns, your whole team can be wiped out before you know it.

Build high RES and bring Invokers that can cast Immunity or remove Debuffs to increase your chances of victory.

DO

Bring Invokers that can cast Immunity or remove debuffs. Ideally more than one.

Make sure everyone has enough RES, just in case.

DON'T

Expect to out-heal the Burn and Manaburn damage.

✕ Bring Burns yourself. Omnissi's immune in this incarnation.

SKILL BREAKDOWN

Each version of Omnissi shares most of their Skills, but they do have a few key differences and unique skills.

Each version of Omnissi has:

  • A unique Combo Attack #1

  • A unique Skill 1

  • A unique Passive Skill

These are the main differences that you need to know to help build your team to counter each version – the rest of the Skills are identical across every Element, aside from the Corruptions, which change for each one.

  • Note: Unlike most other versions of Omnissi, Fire Omnissi has an extra debuff in her second Skill, Scorched Breath, as well as an extra debuff on her second Combo Attack.

We'll start off by going over the unique Skills that define the fight.

 Unrelenting Heat [Passive]

Every 15s, all enemies will take damage equal to 0.5% of their MAX HP as Manaburn damage.

Casts a [1% Burn] debuff on the target, lasting 10s. The [Burn] debuff ticks 1 time every 2s. Each tick damages the target by 1% of their MAX HP. Also damages all of the target's allies in a 3m radius around the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP.

  • TIP #1: This is a passive skill, so it happens automatically. Every single one of your team will lose a huge chunk of their life as Manaburn Damage – which means the only way to counter it is through Mindfog Tolerance. Increasing your DEF will do nothing to mitigate this part, but… it's not the only thing you have to worry about.

  • TIP #2: Burn's scary on its own, but in combination with the Manaburn, this Passive will quickly melt away your team's HP. Trying to counter this with high heal output (frequent, huge heals) is not the best idea. The best approach is to block the Burn debuff with Immunity, or quickly purge them and get rid of them as soon as they land.

Combo Attack #1

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage. Casts a [2% Burn] debuff on the target, lasting 4s. The Burn debuff ticks 1 time every 2s. Each tick damages the target by 2% of their MAX HP. Casts a [DEF Down] debuff on the target, lasting 10s.

  • TIP #1: Yet another source of Burn. On an attack Omnissi will use very, very often throughout the battle. It's only single-target, but it's still a huge source of damage that you need to counter.

Skill 1 – Ignic Hail

Targets 3 random enemies in a 30m radius, tracking them for 1.9s. Then, creates a 4m radius AoE zone around the targets, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area. Extends the duration of all debuffs on each target by 5s.

Each hit casts 1 stack of Manaburn Corruption on each target. The Manaburn Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Manaburn Corruption decreases the target's Mana Gen by 3%.

  • TIP #1: This attack is unavoidable for at least 3 of your team – but it's also going to hurt everyone else in the area. You can spread out to reduce damage, but you'll need to ensure you have a good amount of Manaburn Tolerance to minimize the damage.

  • TIP #2: This skill extends the duration of all debuffs on your Invokers by 5 seconds, which, when those debuffs are mostly Burn, is very bad news for your team. RES can help avoid that extension, but the best way to avoid it is to not have any debuffs to extend in the first place. Another reason to make sure you're able to remove debuffs constantly throughout this battle.

Skill 2 – Scorched Breath

Divides the arena into 3 zones, then creates Flame Gusts that fill the zones one by one, in random order.

Each Gust takes 2.9s to charge, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area.

Each hit casts Daze Corruption on each target, lasting 15s. The Daze Corruption Purges 2 buffs from each target.

Each hit casts a [5% Crit Rate Down] debuff on the target, lasting 20s.

  • TIP #1: Move. This Skill is scary, but thankfully you are able to avoid it and get out of the way. If you get hit, not only do you take insane damage, but you also end up on the wrong end of a long-lasting stun from Manacrush Corruption.

  • TIP #2: Use the Group Up button to huddle your team together and ensure they get out of the way. Relying on your team's Instinct here is never going to be as reliable as doing it yourself.

  • TIP #3: Unlike most other versions of Omnissi, the Fire version packs an extra debuff – Crit Rate Down – in the second Skill. Its power increases at higher Stages, and can have a big impact on Invokers that depend on landing Critical Hits for the extra effects their Skills bring.

Combo Attack #2

Attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. Casts a [Combo SPD Down] debuff on the targets, lasting 8s.

  • Important: Note that Fire Omnissi also packs a debuff on this Combo Attack.

Combo Attack #3

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage.

 Combo Attack #4

Attacks all enemies in a 5m radius, dealing N damage per hit.

Skill 3 – Searing Fury

Dives through an 8x20m path, towards the furthest enemy in a 15m radius, damaging each enemy hit, dealing N damage per hit. Launches each target in the air for Ns, launching them Nm away.

  • TIP #1: Once again, get out of the way. This is a long-lasting launch that pushes you backwards, along with some serious damage. The saving grace is that you can actually avoid it entirely – if you're on your toes.

Skill 4 – Ruptured Sky

Casts a [Shield] buff on Omnissi, equal to 30% of her MAX HP, lasting 10s.

Then, Omnissi channels. While channeling, continuously hails Lava Rain, attacking all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. Lava Rain will fall on each enemy 3 times every 2s.

Channeling will be interrupted when Omnissi loses 10% of her MAX HP.

  • TIP #1: Unleash everything you have to stop the Skill as soon as possible. Here, Omnissi will continue to channel until one of two things happens: either your whole team dies, or you manage to deal enough damage to her. This is a pretty hard damage-check for your team – if you don't have enough DPS to shut this down quickly, you're done.

CORRUPTIONS

The Fire version of Omnissi has two Corruptions: one Damage Corruption (Manaburn), and one Control Corruption (Daze).

Each of Fire Omnissi's attacks will deal extra damage as Manaburn Damage, which is not decreased by your Invokers’ DEF Stat.

DAMAGE CORRUPTION –  MANABURN

Manaburn Corruption

  • Each stack of Manaburn damages the target by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. Each stack also decreases the target's Mana Gen. Infinite duration.

Manaburn Tolerance

Manaburn Corruption is a damage-over-time effect that damages the recipient by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. It also decreases the target's Mana Gen by a certain percentage. Manaburn Corruption has an infinite duration and cannot be removed. Manaburn Corruption stacks additively, so each stack of Manaburn directly increases the damage per tick along with the Mana Gen reduction.

Bosses with Manaburn Corruption also deal direct Manaburn damage from their Skills, in addition to their regular damage. Direct Manaburn damage ignores the target's DEF stat, and can only be decreased by the target's Manaburn Tolerance.

Increasing an Invoker's Manaburn Tolerance will decrease all Manaburn damage by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, along with decreasing the effects of the Mana Gen reduction.

CONTROL CORRUPTION – DAZE

Daze Corruption

  • Stuns the target, making them unable to move or use Skills. Instantly purges 2 buffs from the target when Daze Corruption first lands.

Daze Tolerance

Daze Corruption instantly purges 2 buffs from the target as soon as the Corruption lands, then stuns them for the duration.

Bosses with Daze Corruption can become incredibly hard to navigate due to being unable to guarantee which Buffs your team will have up at any time. Whenever they get hit with Daze, they'll lose 2 of their buffs straight away.

Increasing an Invoker's Daze Tolerance will decrease the duration of the Daze's stun by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage. And at 100% Daze Tolerance, the Buff purge will also be blocked.
