Omnissi (WIND) – The Elemental Garuda

OVERVIEW

While Omnissi shares some skills across each Element, there are also unique mechanics to overcome to master each version.

Wind Omnissi has a powerful Passive skill that gives her a 60% chance to dodge all Combo Attacks. That takes a huge source of damage away from your team. However, the Passive stops working whenever the Omnissi has a Move SPD Down debuff on her.

You’ll need to take Invokers that can slow her down with Move SPD Down to block that passive — but it won’t be easy. Her first skill, Tempest Crush, will decrease the duration of any debuffs on Omnissi by 5 seconds. She'll use that Skill often, which means you'll need to be ready with another Move SPD Down earlier than you think.

But Omnissi doesn't make that easy. She packs a heavy dose of Nightmare Corruption, which, once it expires, puts one of your Invokers’ Skills on full cooldown. If you get unlucky and that Skill happens to be your only source of Move SPD Down, you're in for a bad, bad time.

Meanwhile, she's going to be doing the same to you. Fatigue Corruption and a direct Move SPD Down debuff on her Combo Attack mean you're going to get slowed often, and heavily.

This fight's all about managing and manipulating debuffs and keeping that Move SPD Down debuff up as long as possible during the fight. You may need to bring multiple sources of the debuff, or bring someone that can extend debuff duration to keep it up at all times.

DO

Bring Move SPD Down.

Bring multiple sources of Move SPD Down. Or someone that can extend it.

Bring Nightmare Tolerance and Fatigue Tolerance.

DON'T

Forget your Move SPD Down.

✕ Overlook Omnissi's own Move SPD Down debuff. It's a big deal.

✕ Try to brute force this fight. You need your Combo Attacks to work.

SKILL BREAKDOWN

Each version of Omnissi shares most of their Skills, but they do have a few key differences and unique skills.

Each version of Omnissi has:

  • A unique Combo Attack #1

  • A unique Skill 1

  • A unique Passive Skill

These are the main differences that you need to know to help build your team to counter each version – the rest of the Skills are identical across every Element, aside from the Corruptions, which change for each one.

We'll start off by going over the unique Skills that define the fight.

 Swift Wind [Passive]

Omnissi has a 60% chance to dodge all incoming Combo Attacks. Does not work if Omnissi is under a [Move SPD Down] debuff.

  • TIP #1: Countering this passive is the key to this fight. A huge chunk of your damage over the course of a battle will come from your Combo Attacks – which means, effectively, you're getting a permanent 60% decrease to a giant portion of your damage.

  • TIP #2: Do everything you can to make sure Omnissi has Move SPD Down on her for as much of the fight as possible. If you don't have anyone to extend the debuff's duration, bring multiple sources. Do that, and your life becomes a whole lot easier.

Combo Attack #1

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage. Casts a [50% Move SPD Down] debuff on the target, lasting 5s.

  • TIP #1: This comes with a huge Move SPD Down debuff, and she's going to be using this attack a lot. Combined with the Fatigue Corruption, you're going to be heavily slowed throughout the fight, unless you do something about it. For this Skill, you can easily purge the Debuff and get rid of it – but you'll need Tolerance to counter the Fatigue from the rest of the fight.

Skill 1 – Tempest Crush

Targets 3 random enemies in a 30m radius, tracking them for 1.9s. Then, creates a 4m radius AoE zone around the targets, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area. Decreases the duration of all debuffs on Omnissi by 5s.

Each hit casts 1 stack of Fatigue Corruption on each target. The Fatigue Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Fatigue Corruption decreases the target's Move Speed by 3%.

  • TIP #1: This attack is unavoidable for at least 3 of your team – but it's also going to hurt everyone else in the area. You can spread out to reduce damage, but you'll need to ensure you have a good amount of Fatigue Tolerance to minimize the damage.

  • TIP #2: Pay attention to the duration-decrease here. Your main goal in this fight is to keep a Move SPD Down debuff up on Omnissi at all times – and this makes it much, much harder to do so. Be ready – when she casts this Skill, there's a good chance she's going to be free of your Move SPD debuff, and you'll need to throw it on her again.

  • TIP #3: Here comes the Fatigue Corruption. While it might not sound like a massive Move SPD Down decrease, remember that each instance of the Corruption stacks – so over the course of a Battle, you're going to be heavily slowed. Unless, of course, you bring Fatigue Tolerance.

Skill 2 – Deadwind

Divides the arena into 3 zones, then creates Deadwind Waves that fill the zones one by one, in random order.

Each Wave takes 2.9s to charge, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area.

Each hit casts Nightmare Corruption on each target, lasting 15s.

Each hit casts 1 stack of Fatigue Corruption on each target. The Fatigue Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Fatigue Corruption decreases the target's Move Speed by 3%.

  • TIP #1: Move. This Skill is scary, but thankfully you are able to avoid it and get out of the way. If you get hit, not only do you take insane damage, but you also end up on the wrong end of a long-lasting stun from Manacrush Corruption.

  • TIP #2: Notice the Nightmare Corruption. Nightmare also puts 1 of your Skills on full cooldown after it expires. If this is your Move SPD Down skill, that's very, very bad news for you. The only way around it? 100% Nightmare Tolerance. That's your aim. And at higher Boss Stages, you'll need it.

  • TIP #3: Use the Group Up button to huddle your team together and ensure they get out of the way. Relying on your team's Instinct here is never going to be as reliable as doing it yourself.

Combo Attack #2

Attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit.

Combo Attack #3

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage.

 Combo Attack #4

Attacks all enemies in a 5m radius, dealing N damage per hit.

Skill 3 – Gustfall

Dives through an 8x20m path, towards the furthest enemy in a 15m radius, damaging each enemy hit, dealing N damage per hit. Launches each target in the air for Ns, launching them Nm away.

  • TIP #1: Once again, get out of the way. This is a long-lasting launch that pushes you backwards, along with some serious damage. The saving grace is that you can actually avoid it entirely – if you're on your toes.

Skill 4 – Nature's Embrace

Casts a [Shield] buff on Omnissi, equal to 30% of her MAX HP, lasting 10s.

Then, Omnissi channels. While channeling, continuously hails Razor Rain, attacking all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. Razor Rain will fall on each enemy 3 times every 2s.

Channeling will be interrupted when Omnissi loses 10% of her MAX HP.

  • TIP #1: Unleash everything you have to stop the Skill as soon as possible. Here, Omnissi will continue to channel until one of two things happens: either your whole team dies, or you manage to deal enough damage to her. This is a pretty hard damage-check for your team – if you don't have enough DPS to shut this down quickly, you're done.

CORRUPTIONS

The Wind version of Omnissi has two Corruptions: one Damage Corruption (Fatigue), and one Control Corruption (Nightmare).

Each of Wind Omnissi's attacks will deal extra damage as Fatigue Damage, which is not decreased by your Invokers’ DEF Stat.

DAMAGE CORRUPTION –  Fatigue

Fatigue Corruption

  • Each stack of Fatigue damages the target by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. Each stack also decreases the target's Move SPD. Infinite duration.

Fatigue Tolerance

Fatigue Corruption is a damage-over-time effect that damages the recipient by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. It also decreases the target's Move SPD by a certain percentage. Fatigue Corruption has an infinite duration and cannot be removed. Fatigue Corruption stacks additively, so each stack of Fatigue directly increases the damage per tick along with the Move SPD reduction.

Bosses with Fatigue Corruption also deal direct Fatigue damage from their Skills, in addition to their regular damage. Direct Fatigue damage ignores the target's DEF stat, and can only be decreased by the target's Fatigue Tolerance.

Increasing an Invoker's Fatigue Tolerance will decrease all Fatigue damage by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, along with decreasing the effects of the Move SPD reduction.

CONTROL CORRUPTION – NIGHTMARE

Nightmare Corruption

  • Causes the target to run uncontrollably. Puts one of the target's Skills on full Cooldown, at random, after the Nightmare Corruption expires.

Nightmare Tolerance

Nightmare Corruption causes the target to run around uncontrollably, during which time they cannot use any Skills, and could run into a trap or deadly enemy attacks. And once the Nightmare Corruption expires, one of the target's Skills will be put on full cooldown.

Increasing an Invoker's Nightmare Tolerance will decrease the duration of the Nightmare's effects by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, allowing you to regain control sooner. And at 100% Tolerance, your Skills will not be affected by the cooldown increase.
