Omnissi (WATER) – The Elemental Garuda

OVERVIEW

While Omnissi shares some skills across each Element, there are also unique mechanics to overcome to master each version.

The Water version of Omnissi has a special Passive attack that triggers every 15 seconds, hits your whole team, and decreases their Move Speed by a huge 70% — for 10 seconds. If you let that happen freely, you’re going to be massively slowed for almost the entire battle. Make sure you bring Immunity to block the debuff in the first place, or someone that can help Purge the debuff to get rid of it whenever you receive it.

In addition, Water Omnissi's first skill, Dewburst, deals 50% more damage to anyone that has a debuff on them. She also has an extra debuff (compared to most versions of the Garuda) on her other Skills – including her second Skill and her second and fourth Combo Attacks. In addition to the debuffs from this first Skill, along with the Passive, you will always have a debuff or two to worry about during this fight.

The synergy of these Skills is hard to overcome without bringing the right team that can combat Water Omnissi's cycle. She'll be constantly throwing debuffs on you, slowing you, and then dealing extra damage because of it – and you'll need to constantly deal with those debuffs.

Purging or blocking debuffs is your path to victory.

DO

Bring Invokers that can remove debuffs. Ideally more than one.

…Or someone that can block debuffs in the first place. Immunity is king.

DON'T

Let her land her debuffs.

✕ Ignore the slow. It has a huge, huge impact on your team.

SKILL BREAKDOWN

Each version of Omnissi shares most of their Skills, but they do have a few key differences and unique skills.

Each version of Omnissi has:

  • A unique Combo Attack #1

  • A unique Skill 1

  • A unique Passive Skill

These are the main differences that you need to know to help build your team to counter each version – the rest of the Skills are identical across every Element, aside from the Corruptions, which change for each one.

  • Note: Unlike most other versions of Omnissi, Water Omnissi has extra effects in her second Skill, Pulltide, as well as her second and fourth Combo Attacks.

We'll start off by going over the unique Skills that define the fight.

 Strong Current [Passive]

Every 15s, all enemies will take damage equal to 0.5% of their MAX HP as Mindfog damage. Casts a [70% Move Speed Down] debuff on all enemies for 10s.

  • TIP #1: This is a passive skill, so it happens automatically. Every single one of your team will lose a huge chunk of their life as Mindfog Damage – which means the only way to counter it is through Mindfog Tolerance. Increasing your DEF will do nothing to mitigate it.

  • TIP #2: The Move SPD Down debuff is more painful than it sounds. A 10-second slow, every 15 seconds means your whole team is going to be slowed for ⅔ of the battle. And it's a 70% Move SPD reduction, so it has a crazy impact on your team. Get rid of the debuff as soon as possible or suffer the consequences.

Combo Attack #1

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage. Casts a [Heal Reduction] debuff on the target, lasting 5s.

Skill 1 – Dewburst

Targets 3 random enemies in a 30m radius, tracking them for 1.9s. Then, creates a 4m radius AoE zone around the targets, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area. Damage increases by 50% per debuff on each target.

Each hit casts 1 stack of Mindfog Corruption on each target. The Mindfog Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Mindfog Corruption decreases the target's ACC by 3%.

  • TIP #1: This attack is unavoidable for at least 3 of your team – but it's also going to hurt everyone else in the area. You can spread out to reduce damage, but you'll need to ensure you have a good amount of Mindfog Tolerance to minimize the damage.

  • This Skill deals more damage to anyone with a debuff on them, and an extra 50% damage on top of already-huge damage is hard to survive. And with how frequently Water Omnissi throws debuffs on you (automatically through her Passive, plus through her Combo), you'll need to bring Invokers that can either remove debuffs or block them from landing in the first place.

Skill 2 – Pulltide

Divides the arena into 3 zones, then creates Tidal Waves that fill the zones one by one, in random order.

Each Wave takes 2.9s to charge, dealing N damage to all enemies in the area.

Each hit casts Frost Corruption on each target, lasting 15s. Frost Corruption prevents Skill Recovery for its duration.

Each hit casts 2 stacks of Mindfog Corruption on each target. The Mindfog Corruption ticks 1 time every 10s. Each tick damages the target by 0.5% of their MAX HP. Each stack of Mindfog Corruption decreases the target's ACC by 3%.

Each hit casts a [5% Weaken] debuff on each target, lasting 20s.

  • TIP #1: Move. This Skill is scary, but thankfully you are able to avoid it and get out of the way. If you get hit, not only do you take insane damage, but you also end up on the wrong end of a long-lasting stun from Manacrush Corruption.

  • TIP #2: Use the Group Up button to huddle your team together and ensure they get out of the way. Relying on your team's Instinct here is never going to be as reliable as doing it yourself.

  • TIP #3: Unlike most other versions of Omnissi, the Water version packs an extra debuff – Weaken – in the second Skill. Combined with the increased damage from the first Skill (it does 50% more damage to anyone with a debuff), these Skills stack for huge damage. We can't make it more clear – get rid of those debuffs.

Combo Attack #2

Attacks all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. Casts a [5% Skill SPD Down] debuff on the targets, lasting 13s.

  • Important: Note that Water Omnissi also packs a debuff on this Combo Attack.

Combo Attack #3

Attacks 1 enemy, dealing N damage.

 Combo Attack #4

Attacks all enemies in a 5m radius, dealing N damage per hit. Casts a [10% ACC Down] debuff on the targets, lasting 13s.

  • Important: Note that Water Omnissi also packs a debuff on this Combo Attack.

Skill 3 – Floodwings

Dives through an 8x20m path, towards the furthest enemy in a 15m radius, damaging each enemy hit, dealing N damage per hit. Launches each target in the air for Ns, launching them Nm away.

  • TIP #1: Once again, get out of the way. This is a long-lasting launch that pushes you backwards, along with some serious damage. The saving grace is that you can actually avoid it entirely – if you're on your toes.

Skill 4 – Eternal Downpour

Casts a [Shield] buff on Omnissi, equal to 30% of her MAX HP, lasting 10s.

Then, Omnissi channels. While channeling, continuously hails Storm Rain, attacking all enemies in the arena, dealing N damage per hit. Rain will fall on each enemy 3 times every 2s.

Channeling will be interrupted when Omnissi loses 10% of her MAX HP.

  • TIP #1: Unleash everything you have to stop the Skill as soon as possible. Here, Omnissi will continue to channel until one of two things happens: either your whole team dies, or you manage to deal enough damage to her. This is a pretty hard damage-check for your team – if you don't have enough DPS to shut this down quickly, you're done.

CORRUPTIONS

The Water version of Omnissi has two Corruptions: one Damage Corruption (Mindfog), and one Control Corruption (Frost).

Each of Water Omnissi's attacks will deal extra damage as Mindfog Damage, which is not decreased by your Invokers’ DEF Stat.

DAMAGE CORRUPTION –  MINDFOG

Mindfog Corruption

  • Each stack of Mindfog damages the target by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. Each stack also decreases the target's ACC. Infinite duration.

Mindfog Tolerance

Mindfog Corruption is a damage-over-time effect that damages the recipient by a percentage of their MAX HP every tick. It also decreases the target's ACC by a certain percentage. Mindfog Corruption has an infinite duration and cannot be removed. Mindfog Corruption stacks additively, so each stack of Mindfog directly increases the damage per tick and the ACC reduction.

Bosses with Mindfog Corruption also deal direct Mindfog damage from their Skills, in addition to their regular damage. Direct Mindfog damage ignores the target's DEF stat, and can only be decreased by the target's Mindfog Tolerance.

Increasing an Invoker's Mindfog Tolerance will decrease all Mindfog damage by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, along with decreasing the effects of the ACC reduction.

CONTROL CORRUPTION – FROST

Frost Corruption

  • Stuns the target, making them unable to move or use Skills. Stops all Skill Cooldowns on the target.

Frost Tolerance

Frost Corruption stuns the target, while also freezing all of the target's cooldowns for its duration.

With cooldowns on pause, your Invokers can effectively be locked out of using their Active and Ultimate Skills if they get hit with Frost Corruption at a bad time. This means no heals, no buffs or debuffs - restricted to Combo Attacks alone.

Increasing an Invoker's Frost Tolerance decreases the duration of the Frost Corruption by the Invoker's Tolerance percentage, which means a shorter stun, and less time with frozen Cooldowns.
